Protecting a federal clean-energy tax credit

A leading clean energy company retained us to help protect the Section 48E clean electricity investment tax credit at a decisive moment in federal policymaking. We ran a precision digital campaign — geofenced ads and tested messaging built on jobs, supply-chain security, and economic growth — aimed at manufacturing hubs, energy project communities, and key swing districts. It delivered more than half a million impressions, thousands of petition signatures, and a wave of constituent contact into lawmakers' offices. The final bill moderated domestic content thresholds, clarified foreign influence rules, and extended project timelines.

A record statewide victory

In 2023, our client — a Republican incumbent — won statewide in a southern state with nearly two-thirds of the vote, defeating a crowded field that included several other Republicans. He carried every congressional district. Alongside commanding margins with the traditional base, he took roughly 30 percent of the vote in majority-Black precincts — more than double the top-of-ticket Republican that cycle, and the highest share for a Republican in the state's history.
